Foviance ‘shave off’ after raising awareness of prostate cancer

Movember moves into December, Foviance men start to shave off their moustache’s after raising awareness for The Prostate Cancer Charity.

London, UK, 1 December 2009 Foviance, the expert in customer experience, today announced the end of their Movember challenge. We have now reached the end of Movember and the Foviance boys are ready for the big shave off. After growing their fancy moustache’s for a whole month, Foviance’s Chris Holmes applauded his fellow participants with “Well done, lads! Mo’ cash for the ‘tache!”

It has been an unusual month this November, as all members of staff had to acclimatize themselves to the ever increasing appearance of men looking like they’ve come straight from the 70′s. At times, the boys were ready to pack it all in as user experience consultant Chris Holmes often said, “I can’t wait to get this thing off my face…I feel like John Hurt in Alien”. Another Foviance employee and Movember participant Steve King, said “I was ridiculed and often compared to Chopper and Metallica’s James Hetfield!” However their duty to raising money for The Prostate Cancer Charity prevailed over any reservations about their appearance or the itchiness of their faces. In fact some have grown a fondness for their mo as they were frequently seen checking their appearance in anything reflective. Inadvertently the men took pride in grooming their mo’s in a variety of fashions which you can see in the photographs we updated on the Movember website.

Foviance are proud to have raised over £400 which has gone to The Prostate Cancer Charity in raising awareness of men’s health issues. Thousands of men around the world took part it this moustache growing event with many having mo-sisters to encourage and support them on their way. But sadly it has come to an end and the razors have already come out. Foviance would like to say ‘well done’ and ‘thank you’ to their colleagues for taking part.

Foviance is proud to have been part of this event and would like to thank everyone that supported us in raising awareness of men’s health issues.
