Usability and accessibility consultancy

Our internationally renowned usability expertise stems from our days when Foviance was known as The Usability Company.

Over that time, we’ve seen usability consultancy evolve from pure laboratory-based testing and expert review to the complex range of services we provide today, including:

  • Specialist testing laboratories and viewing facilities
  • Ethnographic research
  • Eye tracking
  • Automated usability testing
  • Competitive analysis
  • Industry benchmarking

Our User Centred Design methodology is being successfully applied across a wide variety of business activity - from major internet sites and global intranets to interactive TV and the latest chip and pin devices.

Foviance usability consultants are recognised throughout the world as leaders in the fields. In the last year alone we spoke at major conferences in the USA, Canada, Europe and throughout the UK.

For more information on our usability services, please contact Mark Gristock.

Accessibility - Don't be a check point Charlie

Traditional accessibility evaluations are conducted in purely technical and theoretical terms, based on compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (WCAG 1.0), which were published in 1999.

Foviance pioneers an integrated approach to accessibility that follows the same principles as our usability evaluations. This allows our clients to incorporate accessibility within their online customer experience strategy, rather than treat it as a separate add-on that can compromise success.

It also provides insight into how the disabled actually use the web, rather than basing crucial design decisions on theoretical issues.

Our senior accessibility consultant also provides a range of technical and general courses to increase your knowledge of issues facing disabled users. For more information, please contact Lis Angle.
