Opportunities at Foviance

Usability Consultants

ABOUT US

Foviance was formed in 2005 through the merger of The Usability Company, Europe’s foremost usability consultancy and WebAbacus, a leading web analytics provider. Foviance helps organisations measure, analyse and enhance the online experience they deliver to their customers. With clients including Nokia, Royal Bank of Scotland, Microsoft, Sky, AOL and Barclays, and ambitious growth plans, Foviance is a great place for an enthusiastic individual looking for a challenging role in a thriving company.

We’re looking for Usability Consultants (ongoing recruitment) to join our consulting team in London, UK. This role is for a 'mid weight' consultant - i.e. not a fresh graduate nor a senior consultant with a number of years experience but rather someone with 1-2 years of good experience.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a Usability Consultant you will design usability research, conduct research, perform analysis and provide actionable recommendations to help our clients develop usable solutions. The right candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects abroad or attend international conferences. Over time we will develop your career path that suits your aspirations and skills whether they lie in specialism, management or sales.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Application of user-centered design methodology to ensure positive user experiences.
  • Production, review and analysis of research material and technical specification
  • Conducting user testing and documenting findings and recommendations
  • Ability to work with and present to higher management, marketing, design and IT departments
  • Project management & change control
  • Effectiveness and time management
  • Drive to increase quality
  • A commitment to excellent customer service

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A degree (BA or MSc) in a related field, such as technical communications, human-computer interaction (HCI), psychology etc.
  • 1-2 years experience working on digital products, such as websites, CD-ROMs, or software.
  • Experience in client services and negotiating business decisions
  • Experience observing user research and translating user research into design decisions
  • Ability to work effectively on own or within a team.

We have an immediate opening and will be hiring for the same role frequently over the coming months. Please send a CV and covering letter to Marty Carroll at marty.carroll@foviance.com.

No agencies or recruiters please.

Foviance is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
